I do not know how Chimney Pot Park and New Islington can be classed as success stories. The local residents who were promised priority for the new homes find they could not afford them. And that these homes went to newbies. And building at Ancoats has stopped. Also none of this new build incorporates energy-efficiency or renewables. As for the Council living with the legacy of Thatcher is absolute bilge. Labour have been in power 12 years and have brought hundreds of unnecessary laws. So why did they not change that law. This Labour Government is a Thatcherite Government using the cloak of Labour.
