Mule Culture: the Best of Autumn 2008
Article published: Sunday, February 8th 2009
In the last rainy days of the recently passed year we at the Mule found ways to keep ourselves entertained in the rapidly descending evenings with a variety of cultural excursions in the world of film, live music, art and the clubbing scene.
This roundup of autumn 08 includes a review of the feminist-inspired Ladyfest UK that was held in Manchester in November and gave exposure to a range of young female artists.
Theres a fly-on-the-wall look at the massively popular new rave scene of the vaunted Warehouse Project as it attracted some stellar names in jungle music. Could it live up to the anarchic free-party hype?
We saw an array of projects from aspiring film-makers at exposures and an exposition of some of the most cutting-edge and experimental artists in contemporary music which took place in Huddersfield.
On top of all of this you will find the usual reviews of gigs and films that took our fancy.
So take a look on the culture front page to see what was going on.
