Man Utd fan thrown off MUTV set

Yesterday Manchester United ejected a life-long supporter from the audience of an MUTV program for wearing a green and gold scarf.

Steve Tilzey was thrown off the Red Cafe show for sporting the symbol of protest against the Glazer regime. Twenty minutes into filming two security guards tapped him on the shoulder and asked him to either take off the scarf or leave. He refused and was escorted off the set.

Mr Tilze told reporters, “This is censorship. It’s symbolic of what is happening at the club and it is bang out of order. It’s like being told to leave by the secret police or the Stasi,” he continued.

“I don’t blame the producer or the floor manager. They got a call and they were told to get me off. Another man was wearing a green-and-gold scarf but he chose to take his off. He must have felt intimidated.”

Earlier in the day Chief Exec Gill said that the Glazers would not sell the club to the Red Knights. While yesterday the family announced it will consider severing ties with Goldman Sachs because of the role of Jim O’Neill, the bank’s chief economist, in efforts to buy the club.

disgusting! there have been similar stories about fans being ejected from the ground and having their season tickets revoked for sporting the newton heath colours. i heard a rumour that some fans were gonna team up with the scousers in a couple of weeks to protest against both sets of american owners…

Halloween creatures invade Manchester early: chance to win two tickets to the Illuminaughty Halloween party!

A heavy mist suddenly falls on a darkened Manchester hiding from sight unspeakably hideous creatures. Drums can be heard in the distance lulling you into a hypnotic trance, the work of witches and daemons no doubt. Poetry and science are two things generally not associated with each other, in fact if you joined the two in a word association test you would be one step closer to a chemical cosh and your very own padded cell. However the audience attending the Science Slam at the packed out Nexus Art Cafe Thursday night will never again doubt the validity of the two pursuits being combined; though I can’t rule out they may end up bouncing of the walls of a padded cell at some time in the future.
