Article published: Thursday, January 6th 2011
Manchester Indymedia has now gone on a pause. The collective is asking people to continue posting on other independent news websites in the region. Here is a statement from the website:
“This current version of the Manchester Indymedia is now closed. This page will continue an archive. Currently there are not enough people able to commit time and energy to the site administration and editing. We also feel that closing these pages will encourage other people to get involved to replace them using new web technology which can incorporate video, photo blogging and social media.
Right now we invite you to publish your Manchester news, pictures, images and audio on the Northern Indymedia website and be sure to tag it Manchester. Click here to publish Manchester News. Your news will appear here http://northern-indymedia.org/about/manchester.
Also please publish your events to the Mule Events Diary.
